“SWEET songbird Delta Goodrem hit the Big Apple yesterday to promote the release of her first album in the US and was immediately given a boost in her bid to make it big stateside.
Confirmation of a couple of high profile television appearances should give momentum to her push into the US.
Goodrem, hitting the airwaves in New York to promote the album, scored a guest spot on the high-rating talk show The View.
Luke Dennehy reports from New York that she will film her guest spot on the show tomorrow. The View is hosted by veteran American TV news queen Barbara Walters and features Whoopi Goldberg on the panel.
Goodrem is also pencilled in to appear on the powerful David Letterman Show.
Her fiance Brian McFadden arrived in the city on Monday, after recently finishing a stint of breakfast radio on Fox FM and working on his Foxtel show Football Superstar.
Delta’s album Believe Again was released in the US yesterday.
It includes her first hit Born To Try, which was released in Australia in late 2002, selling more then 210,000 copies.
Two TV stations and the website of US music bible Billboard featured interviews with the singer. It was the magazine’s top video.”

The Album Delta is currently sitting at number 17 on USA iTunes Overall chart, and number 5 on the Pop Albums Chart. A Top 100 debut is looking very likely if she maintains such a good position until the end of the week. Go Delta!
